Lanvin Pre-Fall 2013
Alber Elbaz described his pre-fall collection for Lanvin as “a mix of wildness and classics.” The clothes featured a variety of looks with distinctive personalities, from an animal-print wool jacquard sweatshirt to romantic red-carpet swooners.
“It’s not about a concept, it’s about women; it’s about their mood, it’s about individuality,” added Elbaz. “It’s almost like everything women would want to have this season.” The designer layered up textures and fabrics with prints and jacquards, leathers and furs and a mix of shapes and cuts.
Key footwear included sharp-toed lace-up platform boots and a leopard-print boot with a studded clog heel. The jewelry was inspired by lost ancient cities such as Kalahari and Volubilis, featuring bold metal links, printed ponyskin and chunky crystals.
