Ermenegildo Zegna and Pringle of Scotland's collections appear to have more practical motivations, with the latter's designer Alistair Carr explaining the upcoming menswear line is "inspired by a real man's wardrobe and the pieces he wants to wear."
Meanwhile, Zegna's image director Anna Zegna stressed the importance of versatility in the upcoming line, providing "incredible combinations between formal and sporty pieces."
Diesel Black Gold's creative team spoke of edgier inspirations, citing "military constructions," "vintage biker pieces" and "1970s-style cuts" as sources of inspiration, while Farhi's Massimo Nicosia hinted at more exotic motivations with the theme "West meets East."
Other inspirations include "urban life" for Calvin Klein Collection, "Prince of Wales check" for Moschino and "rebel university student" at Dsquared2.
