Emporio Armani RTW Spring 2013 Milan Fahion Week

Emporio Armani RTW Spring 2013 -While he started with several men’s wear-inspired looks — Prince of Wales-checked coats with matching shorts or a folded skirt — the clothes had a feminine feel.

Oyster hues, grey, black and white, pink, nude and camel, it was all very light - little shorts and skirts worn with sleeveless jackets or T-shirt blouses. There were short macs in plaid and blocks of the aforementioned colours on vests and draped little sari dresses layered on top. It was, as the collection was appropriately called, "Neat" - cater to an elegant and polished working woman. But this being the Emporio line as opposed to the main Giorgio collection meant there was still an undercurrent of youth and playfulness: little linear-wrapped off-the-shoulder tops which paved the way for concertinaed cardigans, swinging out front.

There were light and wispy bandeaus in gold, worn with more shorts, and dresses that looked like all-in-ones but were bronzed and iridescent at the top with slinky skirts scrunched at the front. Leather-woven jackets in blue and pink were highlights among the collection, as were the accessories - strong heels with thin straps for sandals, or silver-capped pointed slingback stilettos.
