Alexander Wang Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2015 New York

North West, in a custom made Wang ensemble that matched the styles on the catwalk, sat in the front row with her parents in tow and watched as the designer produced a collection that had a hard rock soul and after dark street style.

Shades of black, in different fabrics and shines came together on the runway. Shift dresses, with undulating contrasting black patterns highlighted the models’ curves. Nine buttoned fronted coats gave a graphic twist to the classic double breasted jacket and leather turtlenecks were subversive. Wang contrasted all this pitch with silver studs that delineated just about everything.

They framed the grooves of a knit sweater. They circled the edge of bib front tops. They even outlined the quilted pattern on outerwear. Not to mention punctuating all the show’s leather handbags and backpacks. When Wang wasn’t using studs, silver zippers were inserted into the front of dresses. Zipping up to leave their pull taps sitting prominently, like nipple piercings, on the garments.
