Moschino Cheap & Chic RTW Fall 2012 London

London -  "Makeup - and Queen Elizabeth,” said Rosella Jardini, Moschino’s creative director, talking before the show about the inspirations for the collection. And there they were: Luscious lips on white blouses, dramatic eye prints winking on ruffled skirts, and multi-hued fur coats inspired by the squares in a candy-colored compact.

Nods to Britain’s monarch – albeit her more youthful self - came in the form of pretty pleated skirts in bright colors, and a cropped military jacket and matching dress with oversized buttons. The Queen was in the women’s branch of the British Army during World War II, after all. An elegant, blush-colored, double-breasted coat with fur collar had particularly regal airs.
